Stephen Strong

Stephen Strong was born on August 5, 1947 in Oklahoma City. He was welcomed into the home of Manson and Evelyn Strong on August 22, 1947, in Barnsdall, Oklahoma, bringing much joy in one small package. After his formal schooling, his permanent work was with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. He retired at the age of 51 due to severe heart problems. At some time in his life, Stephen became involved in the Republican Party, which was his life outside his work. It proved to be of vital interest and help to him after he had to retire. He was a precinct chairman in Dallas for over 20 years and up to his death. He had opportunities to do volunteer work beside and with many prominent men and women, including Presidents Reagan, Bush #1 and G. W. Bush. Stephen is survived by his mother, Evelyn Strong, his faithful dog, Little Bit, and many cousins and friends. His father preceded him in death on March 3, 1993.
