Luginbuel Funeral Home - Vinita - 918-256-5555 Sterling Nathaniel Moss, 50 year old Welch resident, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 in Miami. He was born December 23, 1964 in Vinita to Birdie and Floyd Moss. Sterling was a graduate of Welch High School and Labette County Community College. He had worked as an X-ray Technician at St. John's Hospital in Joplin and was currently a farm hand for Dr. Martin Grotheer. Sterling enjoyed hunting, playing softball, was an Oklahoma Sooners sports and the Dallas Cowboys fan, but most of all he loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Yvonne Ann Moss, nephews: Kaleb Polk and Christopher Moss. The family includes his parents Floyd and Birdie Moss of Welch, sister Teresa Tipton of Vinita, brothers: Floyd Moss, Jr. and Tim Moss both of Bluejacket, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Thursday, December 24, 2015 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the Walker Cemetery West of Welch with Pastor Dale Stephens officiating. Casket Bearers will be: Brad Mount, Mike Mayfield, Kyle Highsmith, Ray Mercer, Chris Lewellin, and Rick Plemmons. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
