Susan Dixon

December 6, 1932 — February 23, 2009

Susan Dixon, a seventy-six year old resident of Grove passed away on Monday, February 23, 2009 at Integris Grove General Hospital. She was born on December 6, 1932 at Fort Sill Oklahoma to Abraham and Mary (Hensley) Summers. Susan's mother passed when she was three. Her aunt and Uncle Paul and Rosalee Crane then became her parents. Mrs. Dixon graduated High School at Rogers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. On May 9, 1954 at the White City Baptist Church in Tulsa Susan and Dale Dixon were married. She worked at Bethlehem Supply Company for many years, was an avid fisherman and loved Southern Gospel quartets. She and Dale were active in Cornerstone Church where they were members. Her parents Paul Crane who passed in 1974 and Rosalee Crane who passed in 1983, a sister Betty Jo Hill and a brother Jim Crane preceded Susan in death. Survivors include her husband Dale Dixon, three daughters Ginger Ullom of Glenpool, Mary Hawley and Lisa Grandon both of Broken Arrow, five grandchildren Nicole Ottesen, Brandon Hawley, Courtney Hawley, Sarah Granden and Sabrena Granden along with two great grandchildren Katelyn McGhee and Kelsey McGhee. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 26, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be on Friday, February 27, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Cornerstone Church in Grove with Pastor Bill Lay officiating and Pastor Paul Taylor assisting. Interment will follow in the Floral haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at 2:00 PM. Friends and family may send online condolences at www.honoringmemories.com.
