Tanai Shambles

Tanai Dawn Shambles, 25 year old Vinita resident, died Thursday, October 6, 2011. She was born on January 20, 1986 to James and Latricia (Benton) Shambles. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, preparing meals with her mother, and drawing. Tanai used her artwork to her lift up others, constantly sending cards and thinking of others. Her positive spirit and kind words to those she met was what others noticed most about her. Survivors include her parents James and Latricia Shambles of Vinita, brother Cavin Shambles of Vinita, and grandmothers Martha Miles and Linda Shambles of Vinita. Tanai is preceded in death by one brother Cale Shambles, and grandparents Dr. Charles and Edna Benton, Lloyd Shambles, and Rick Elmore. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, October 9, 2011 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 10, 2011 at the Luginbuel Chapel with Rev. Louis J. Berry officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Memorials may be mailed to the Spina Bifida Association 4590 MacArthur Blvd. NW, Ste. 250 Washington, DC 20007.
