Teddie (Smoke) Clifton Skinner, 82-year-old Vinita resident, passed away at his home Tuesday, April 30, 2019. He was born on April 30, 1937, in Filer, Idaho, to Willie Earl and Eva Clara (Hammond) Skinner. Ted attended school in Ketchum and on September 7, 1957 he married Betty Brownlee Edwards in Vinita. He was a painter by trade and painted many homes and business all over the Vinita area. He was a member of the Craig County Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening. Ted was an avid OU Sooners fan and didn’t refrain for letting the TV know when they were not looking their best. Ted loved his wife, children, and grandchildren very much. He loved traveling to Idaho to spend time with the grandchildren there. He was a very good, kind, man and will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving Mr. Skinner are his wife Betty of the home, daughter Letha June Brown and husband Dak of Hayden Idaho, a son Charles William Skinner and wife Jody, of Vinita, one brother Lloyd Skinner and wife Sue, of Sapulpa, Ok., grandchildren Sarah Benson, Joshua Root, Samantha Skinner, Kyle Skinner, and James Root, great grandchildren Layla Benson, Emery Benson, wade Weaver and two on the way.
Preceding Mr. Skinner in death are his parents and 3 siblings, Kenneth Skinner, Billie Jean Mosley, and Wayne Skinner.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2019. At the Craig County Baptist Church in Vinita. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com or see our Facebook page. Arrangements are with Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.
