Thelma Marie Cannon Thelma Marie Cannon was born October 18, 1911, in Osage County, Oklahoma, to Kenneth and Nellie (Chilton) Sherwood. She passed from this life Monday, October 30, 2006, in Coffeyville, Kansas, after reaching 95 years and 12 days. She attended schools and graduated from Lenapah High School. On December 23, 1933, she married Al Cannon, in Independence, Kansas. They made their home in the Delaware area and ran a dairy. Helping with the dairy was a full time job that kept her very busy. She was a member of the Delaware Methodist Church where she was an active member for many years. She was a very loving lady that always had kind words to say. She was one of the most loved and favorite residents of the Windsor Place Assisted Living, in Coffeyville. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and upon moving to Windsor Place working on crafts. She will be missed by all who ever knew her. Preceding Mrs. Cannon in death are her parents; husband Al; sons, A.J. and Gene Cannon, and siblings, Lucille Streeter, Pauline Scott, and Art Sherwood. Surviving Mrs. Cannon are a daughter Judith Ann Howell, and husband Danny, of Nowata, grandson, Chris Howell, of Dallas, Texas, son Jack Cannon, and wife Mary, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, sisters, Laura Belle Hoar, of Denver Colorado, Juanita Newcomer, of Dearborn, Michigan, many other relatives, friends and loved ones.
