Thelma R. King, 87, of Grove, Oklahoma died Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Grove Nursing Center. She was born April 1, 1921 at Kensington in Smith County, Kansas to George Ferguson and Nell Reynolds Ferguson. Thelma worked as the Post Master of Basalt, Colorado, retiring in 1984. She moved to Grove from Clinton, Oklahoma in 2002. Thelma loved traveling and her many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Norval in 1973. Thelma is survived by her children; Margaret Galletly and husband Bill of Grove, Oklahoma, Roger E. King and wife Cecelia of Willis, Texas and Mary King of Laramie, Wyoming, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Thelma R. King will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be at a later date at Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
