Thomas Anderson

Jay, OK - Thomas Edgar Anderson, 77, died Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Integris Grove General Hospital, Grove, Oklahoma. He was seventy-seven years old. Tom was born March 10, 1930 at Westville, Oklahoma, to Les and Susan (Black) Anderson. He lived in Jay for nearly all of his life. He was married to Barbara Anderson, and she survives him. He was described as a "shade tree" mechanic, who also enjoyed fishing. As a young person he earned a living by picking potatoes in Idaho. Survivors are his wife, Barbara, of the home; eight children, Glenda and Hershel Teeples of El Dorado Springs, MO, Elizabeth and Tony Brown of Jay, OK, Sherri and Danny Beck of Jay, Wanda and Edward Keith of Jay, James Anderson of Jay, Patty and David Beck of Colcord, OK, Tommy and Easter Anderson of El Paso, TX, Reba and Carl Handle of Grove; five step-children, Christine Gaal, Cathy Lowery, Gary C. Deien, Angelia Watson and Florence M. Weathers; three sisters, Mattie Ward of Chouteau, OK, Eula King of Salina, OK, and Eunice Denning of Jay, OK; additional survivors include twenty-two grandchildren and forty-two great- grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2007 at Ward Cemetery in Maysville, Arkansas, with Lorn Beck officiating. Interment will be Ward Cemetery, Maysville, under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay. Family will receive friends at the funeral home in Jay on Thursday, 6pm-8pm and may send condolences by viewing obituaries at www.honoringmemories.com.
