Thomas Blythe

Benjamin Funeral Service - Nowata, Oklahoma - 918-273-2700 Thomas (Tom) James Blythe was the middle son of Douglas and Virginia Blackwell Blythe. He was born May 30, 1950 in Nowata, and departed this life December 1, 2016. Tom resided at the Hayes House and had many friends there, including both residents and staff. Tom gave his life to Christ many years ago, and was a faithful member of Hillside Christian Church. He loved all sports and could tell you anything you wanted to know about any team. He especially loved the Ironmen and the Sooners. Tom was truly an angel who walked among us. He treated everyone with kindness. He will most certainly be missed by many. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, older brother, John Douglas Blythe, and uncles, Don Blackwell and Sam Blythe. He is survived by his Hayes House "family", brother William Don Blythe, cousins Ron Blythe and Margie Blackwell Learned, as well as special friends, Sandra Craven and Van Longbons. A memorial service will be held at Hillside Christian Church at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, December 18, 2016 with Van Longbons officiating. Remembrances can be made to Hillside Christian Church.
