Thomas Laughlin

Thomas Ray "Tom" Laughlin of Eucha, Oklahoma died at 8:15 p.m., Sunday, August 17, 2008 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 61. Tom was born November 27, 1946 at Doniphan, Missouri to Lafayette and Anna May (Dresendofer) Laughlin. On May 19, 1966, he married Sherry Albert in Newkirk, Oklahoma. He enjoyed a career as an oil field worker and spent many leisure hours fishing. Catfish fishing was his special love. He and Sherry moved from the Nowata area to Eucha about 13 years ago. Survivors include his wife Sherry of the home; two sons, Tony Laughlin and Dianna Laughlin of Nowata, Oklahoma and Mike and Brenda Laughlin of Gainesville, Virginia; one daughter, Christina Sammarco and her husband Matthew of Anderson, Missouri; one brother, Jim Laughlin of Grapevine, Texas; one sister, Becky Laughlin of Doniphan, Missouri; 12 grandchildren, Dillon Laughlin and Danniell Denton, Brooklyn Sammarco, Jessica Sammarco, Carmino Sammarco, Michael Laughlin, Brandi Laughlin, Heather Laughlin, Benjamin Laughlin, Derick Alspach, Amanda Laughlin, Bryan Monahan, and Brandon Monahan; and one great-grandchild, Kayden Laughlin. The family will hold a special remembrance service at the family home on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home of Jay is in charge of arrangements.
