Tom Henry Logan, Sr., age 71 of Afton, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012. Tom was born in Gracemont, OK to Efton Henry and Eula Marie (Wright) Logan. On December 1, 1958 he joined the United States Marine Corp. retiring on May 30, 1980. After his retirement from the Marines he moved back to Vinita and worked as a dozer operator for Brakefield Equipment until 2003. Tom loved the Marine Corp, working with his cows and horses, working on the farm, and spending time with family. Survivors include his wife Phyllis Logan of Afton, children Tom Logan, Jr. of Vinita, Don Logan of Vinita, Rhonda Edwards of Wagoner, Jeannie Sears of Welch, and Terry Cook and wife Tiffany of Watonga, OK, sisters: Betty Jo Crum and husband Stan of Beeches, IL, Julia Vincent of Bowling Green, KY, Anita Reading and husband David of Grove, OK, 16 grandchildren, mother-in-law Imogene Miller, and close Marine Corp. friend Kenneth Amos of McAlester, OK. He is preceded in death by parents, his first wife Donna Logan and brothers Travis "T.E." Golightly and Welton Logan. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Friday, April 13, 2012 at the Pheasant Hill Cemetery with Pastor Steve Wheeler officiating. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
