Tommy Price

Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, (918) 256 - 5555 - Tommy Price, 80 year old Bernice, Oklahoma resident, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015 in Grove, Oklahoma. Tommy was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on July 30, 1934 to his parents, Walter and Estelle (Landers) Price. Tommy served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Iowa and received an honorable discharge after eight years of service. On January 6, 1956 he married Peggy Louise Bryan in Wetumka, Oklahoma and they were married over 55 years before her death, September 17, 2011. Tommy owned and operated Price's Janitorial for many years in the Tulsa area and retired to Bernice, Oklahoma in 1972. He was a member of the Ketchum United Methodist Church and enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and spending time with his family. Tommy is survived by his daughter, Sherri Price of Bernice, Oklahoma; one sister, Sandra Hawthorne of North Carolina; three nephews, Blake, Zack, and Clay Hawthorne; two nieces, Aston and Leah Hawthorne; as well as other family members and friends. In accordance with Tommy's wishes a private family service will be held at the Wetumka Cemetery in Wetumka, Oklahoma with Naval Military Honors.
