Grove, OK - Truman Kenneth Robison, 83, lost his battle with cancer Thursday afternoon, October 25, 2006 at Betty Ann Nursing Home, Grove, Oklahoma. He was born September 29, 1923 at Purcell, Oklahoma to James E. Robison and Maggie Roberta (Fletcher) Robison. He married Loretta Aluwee Westen on January 20, 1945 at Vancouver, Washington. The Robisons were married 61 years. Truman was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, serving the U.S. Army working on mobile artillery. He was a member of the VFW, Elks and the Moose Lodge. Truman worked as a golf cart mechanic at Shangri-La Resort for 28 years. He is survived by his wife, Loretta, of the home; two sons, Stephen R. Robison and Carlis E. Robison, both of Grove; one daughter, Linda Deacon of Vinita, Oklahoma; two brothers, James Robison of Duncan, Oklahoma and Lewis Robison of Killeen, Texas; two daughters, Kathryn Marshall of Beloit, Wisconsin and Oletta Ford of Safford, Arizona; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Truman is preceded in death by his parents and by a son, Carrieth Van Robison. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Interment will follow in Rolston Cemetery on Monkey Island. Military rites will be provided by Grove Veteran Ritual Team. A visitation will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
