Twila June Woolman, 67 year old Vinita resident, died Monday November 19, 2012 at her home in Vinita. She was born June 24, 1945 in Afton, to Thomas Russel Mefford and Cleva (Hablitz) Mefford. Twila was married to Louis Woolman on January 20, 1959 in Miami; He preceded her in death in 2011. She had worked at Eastern State Hospital, where she had served in many capacities, including the mail room, kitchen and fire department. Twila worked for the Department of Corrections, where she was a correctional officer, she retired as a sergeant. After retirement from the Department of Corrections, Twila went to work at Wal-Mart where she worked in the shoe department, until retiring this past June. Twila enjoyed, reading Louis L'Amour books, sewing, crocheting, quilting and done many alterations. She was of the Christian faith and loved her family very much. The family includes: her children, James Dean Woolman, Cecil Thomas Woolman and wife Cheryl, Charles Lewis Woolman all of Vinita; Katherine Lea Stalnaker and husband Brady of Bartlesville, and Teresa Kay Woolman of Chelsea; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. The graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pheasant Hill Cemetery north of Vinita. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
