Vera Pierce

Vera K. Pierce, Grove area resident, died Saturday morning December 12, 2009 at the age of 91. She was born on November 30, 1918 to her parents, Arthur and Odile (Norman) Keller in Ruby, Montana. She attended school and graduated from high school while living in Montana. During her life she worked as a secretary for the Douglas Aircraft Company until her retirement. Vera enjoyed golfing. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Siloam Springs, as well as a Pink Lady volunteer at the Siloam Springs Hospital for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Oval; and two sisters. Vera is survived by her daughters, Lynn Pruitt, of Grove, and Carrol Utz of Florida; a step-son, Don Pierce of CA; grandchildren, Terri Towle and husband Rick, Jamie Pruitt, Gary Pruitt and wife Kalo, Kathleen Mitchell, Tammie Simpson, Robbie Davis and Andrew Davis; numerous great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home of Grove. No services are planned at this time.
