Viola Reynolds, (90) of Nowata, passed from this life Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at her daughter's home in Langley, Oklahoma. She was born in Finley, Oklahoma to Lee and Annie (Aldridge) Forehand. She is a 1941 graduate of Allen High School, Allen, Oklahoma. In 1943 she married Lee R. Crumbliss in Tulsa. They moved to Nowata in 1949 from Siloam Springs, Arkansas and started Lee's Radio and TV repair. Viola was a member of the First Baptist Church of Nowata where she was very active as a teacher, a member of the Golden Notes Choir, and Vacation Bible School teacher for many years. Her church was a very important part of her life and she loved it dearly. On August 1, 1975 Viola married Donald Lynn Reynolds in Nowata. She stayed busy over the years working as a waitress at the Bliss Restaurant, and volunteering with the Nowata Historical Society. Viola loved flowers and traveling. She was a wonderful lady that loved her family and friends very much. She will be missed by all who knew her. Preceding Mrs. Reynolds in death are her parents Lee and Annie Forehand, her husband Don Reynolds, siblings Calvin Forehand, Gladyce Putnam, Alice Reddick, Delbert Forehand, and Raymond Forehand. Those left behind to mourn her passing are her children, Glenda Smith and husband Eugene, of Langley, Gary Crumbliss and his wife Phyllis, of Nowata, Randy Crumbliss, of Indonesia, grandchildren, Dawana McNutt, Steve Smith, Shannon Smith, Lisa Smith, and Audry Crumbliss, nine great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, siblings, Edith Hively, of Renton Washington, Bud Forehand, of Nowata, T.H. Forehand of Upper Lake, California, many other relatives as well as a host of friends.
