Virgil "Paul" Shelton , age 56, of the Cleora area died Wednesday September 9, 2009 at Craig General Hospital in Vinita He was born January 14, 1953 in Miami, OK the son of Barney Jack Shelton and Evelyn (Speck) Shelton Painter. Paul was raised and educated at Langley and Ketchum and lived all his life in the Cleora area. He was a car salesman and won many awards in his thirty three years in sales. Paul loved motorcycles and enjoyed riding his Harley, rebuilding and restoring all kinds of bikes, the old Honda Scooters and older cars, and was an avid fisherman. Paul leaves behind his wife, Linda of the home, three daughters, Paula Wright of Miami, OK, Stephanie of Tulsa and Stacey of Miami, OK, step children Corey Stephens of Cleora, Ronnie Stephens of Texas, and Stephanie Rudd of Cleora, his mother, Evelyn Painter of Tulsa, OK, two sisters Robyn Barnes of Miami and Lorri Painter of Tulsa, step brother Johnny Painter of Chouteau, one niece Kendall Painter of Tulsa, four grandchildren, two step grandchildren Ashleigh and Austin Stephens, and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Charlie Shelton, his father Barney Shelton, and brother, B.J. Shelton. Graveside services will be Saturday September 12, 2009 at the Modoc Cemetery near Miami, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ted Wynn officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. Online condolences may be left at honoringmemories.com.
