Virginia Lucille (Bohannon) Amos born in Cherryvale, KS March 19, 1924 passed away December 24, 2007 at the age of Eighty-Three years, Nine months, five days. She worked all her life. All she wanted to do was take care of her children. She had a very tough life, but was very happy-go-lucky person, willing to help any and everyone. She had very little but there was always someone else who had less, so she would give to them what ever she could. Her parents were James Henry Bohannon and Alice Pearl Graham. She was the middle of fifteen children. Three of those siblings survive, they are; Betty Valverdie and Amy of Omaha, NE, Beatrice Harrison, of Wichita, KS, Art Bohannon and Cecile of White Deer, TX. Other survivors include four children Colonel Amos and Kathy of Wyandotte, OK, Virginia Jindra and Bill of Kingfisher, OK, Charles Amos of Fountain Hills, AZ, Alice Smtih and David of Fairland, OK, Sixteen grandchildren, six step grandchildren, thirty-three Great-grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren, twelve Great-Great Grandchildren and two step great-great grand children, she also has numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Mrs. Amos was preceded in death by her Husband Charles Amos, one infant daughter one grandson, mother, Alice , father, James and eleven brothers and sisters, Arrangements are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK.
