Virginia Hahner

Virginia Josephine" Jo" or "JoJo" Hahner, 90 year old, Grove Oklahoma resident died Tuesday evening July 19, 2011. Jo was born on October 19, 1920 in Kansas City, Kansas to her parents, Rudolph and Matilda (Rosberg) Bade. She graduated from Rosedale High School in Kansas City and married the love of her life, Virgil Lee Hahner on May 30, 1941 in Lawrence, Kansas. They lived in Wichita until in 1972, then moved to Grove, Oklahoma and attended the St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church. Jo was a member of a brush and palette club, Rosary and Altar Society; she was an avid golfer, bowler, and fisherman, as well as owner of The Arts Center in Grove, Oklahoma. Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Lee Hahner, and three brothers Carl, John, and Rudolph Jr. Jo is survived by a son, Richard Hahner; daughter, Sharon Carley; grandchildren Kimberly Davalos and husband David, and Jamie Carley; and three great grandchildren, Melissa Martineau and husband James, Jonathon Ferguson and Matthew Davalos. A funeral mass will be held 2:00 PM Friday July 22, 2011 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Grove, Oklahoma, interment will follow at Olympus Cemetery.
