Virginia Anderson

Virginia Lee Anderson, 89, died Saturday January 30, 2010 at Heritage Villa Nursing Center. Virginia was born September 11, 1920 in Los Angeles, California the daughter of William and Pauline Brann. She was raised and educated in Los Angeles, California. She was united in marriage with Charles Boyd Anderson on January 24, 1947. The family moved to Bartlesville in 1966. Virginia was very active in church and was a member of the Vermont Avenue Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles, California during her residency in California. Ginny was a member of First Baptist Church in Bartlesville for over 30 years and taught Sunday School and played piano in several lower grades. She also played piano for several soloists in several churches. Ginny was active in PTA at her daughters' schools. A member of the Women's Auxiliary for 43 years and "Eager To Grow" women's service organization for 30 years. She volunteered for the Salvation Army Annual Canned Food Drive for over 30 years. Chuck and Ginny loved to travel and Chuck took her to all of the states including Hawaii except Alaska. She enjoyed taking the children to Disneyland many times when they were young. They enjoyed many restaurants in California and Oklahoma. Virginia is survived by her husband Charles B. Anderson of the home, two daughters Virginia Ruth Oliveiro and her husband Fred of Bartlesville and Karen A. Levin and her husband Rob of Chicago, IL, Six grandchildren; Josh Thornbrugh of Bartlesville, OK, Courtney Brenton of San Diego, CA, Kilian Lowry of Bethany, OK, Zak Lowry of Yukon, OK, Amelia Levin of Chicago, IL and Andrew Levin of Chicago, IL. Six Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Daughter Mary Lynn Gragg, one Brother and one Sister. Private family services for Mrs. Anderson will be held at a later date. Funeral services are under the direction of the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to ones charity of choice.
