Benjamin Funeral Service - Nowata, Oklahoma....................................... Virginia Marie Shepherd Patteson passed from this life September 25, 20015 at her home in Morris, Oklahoma. She was born March 4, 1949 in Chanute, Kansas to Conner Howard and Eva Lou (Steele) Shepherd. Virginia was a 1967 graduate of Alluwe High School. In August of 1966 Virginia married the love of her life, Bennie Patteson in Miami, Oklahoma. They had two children and they enjoyed fishing and camping. Virginia also enjoyed sewing and quilting. They loved to travel and see new areas. Above all she loved her family. She held a special place in her heart for her husband, children and grandchildren. Virginia will be missed by all who knew her. Virginia is survived by her husband Bennie of the home; a son, Christopher Shawn Patteson of Oklahoma City, two brothers, David Howard Shepherd of Sand Springs, Johnny Wayne Shepherd of Summerville, South Carolina; a sister, Leslie Lynn Bark of Gravette, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Christopher Shawn Patteson II, Christopher Michael Williamson, Shawna Lee Williamson. She is preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Wayne Howard Patteson. A memorial service for Virginia will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 2, 2015 at Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel.
