Vivian Kaye Black, 68 year old Big Cabin resident, passed away Friday, November 16, 2012. Vivian was born in Beaver, OK on October 26, 1944 to Lloyd Martin and Pauline (Hummer) Duke. On April 17, 1971 she was united in marriage to Donn E. Black. She attended Phillips University in Enid, OK and later graduated from Texas State Technical Institute in 1978 in saddle making. She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, working sudoku and jigsaw puzzles and cooking. She was a member of the Vinita First Christian Church where she sang in the choir for numerous years. Survivors include her daughter M. Elizabeth Black of Big Cabin, mother Pauline Duke of Big Cabin, sister Virginia Duke of Erie, CO, brother James Duke and wife Sandy of Big Cabin, grandson Larry D. Dudley II of Big Cabin, OK, as well as a number of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her father Lloyd Martin Duke, and ex-husband Donn E. Black. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the First Christian Church with Pastor Michael Murphy officiating.
