Walecia Elizabeth   Allen, 86, of Nowata, Oklahoma, passed away Friday afternoon, March 29, 2024 at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Walecia was born October 31, 1937, to William Lillard Falling and Mildred Leona (Tarter) Falling at Vinita, Oklahoma.  She grew up in the country between Bunker Hill Baptist Church and the Vinita city limits. She received her education in Wolf schools until third grade and was a graduate of Centralia High School and a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Vinita. She worked for several years as an administrative assistant at Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville.

Walecia’s first husband, was Floyd Davenport.  Mr. Davenport would precede his wife in death.  She later married Earl Allen, and the couple would reside at Earl’s farm, south of Nowata.  Earl preceded Walecia in death on February 11, 2011.  

Walecia loved the farm, especially the cats.  She enjoyed taking care of the cows and chickens, and thanks to the efforts of her nephew, B.J. Allen, was able to take care of her farm until shortly before her death.

Survivors include a step-son, Jim Allen and his wife, Betty of Okmulgee, OK and by nieces and nephews, B.J. and David Allen, both of Nowata, Linda Koscelny and her husband, Kenny of Delaware, OK, Betty Alspach of Nowata, Steve Allen of Dewey, OK and Ginger Noblitt of Claremore, OK.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mildred Falling; by two husbands, Floyd Davenport and Earl Allen; by a niece, Lenora Allen and a nephew, Danny Allen.

Graveside services will be held 2pm, Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Timpson Chapel Cemetery, west of Vinita, under the direction of Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home and Cremation Services.  Visitation will be held 9am – 8pm, Wednesday at Benjamin Funeral Service of Nowata.   To send an online condolence, visit www.honoringmemoriesbartlesville.com
