Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK....918-253-3222....Walter Joe Bryant, age 75, passed away at Landmark Hospital in Joplin, MO on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Walter was born on April 9, 1939 in Shattuck, Oklahoma, the son of the late U.B. Bryant and Flora (Shelton) Bryant. Walter attend and graduated from Gravette High School in Gravette, AR. Walter served his country in the United States Army. For most of Walter's working life, he worked as a carpenter around the Delaware County area. Walter enjoyed singing Karaoke and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Harvey Bryant. He is survived by his three brothers: Louis Bryant and his wife Opal of Jay, OK, Billy Bryant and his wife Ella Mae of Arnett, OK, and J.C. Bryant and his wife Mary of Arnett, OK; two sisters: Maxine Kennedy and her husband Don of Jay, OK, and Loretta McCuistion and her husband Merle of Lorena, TX; and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 2PM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel, Jay, OK with the Rev. Raymond Scott, presiding. The family will greet friends on Monday, March 2, 2015 from 6PM to 7PM at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK.
