Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home - Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261. Walter S. Cook Jr. 86, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at his home in Baldwin, Mississippi. He was born April 12, 1930 in Springfield, MO. He married Juanita Mae Potter on June 25, 1955. He served 4 years in the U.S. Navy then worked the rest of his life as a Livestock Buyer. He was a Methodist. After retiring, he continued to raise animals of all kinds on the family's small farm. He loved fishing, tending to his garden, woodworking, caring for his Longhorn cattle. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Juanita Cook; his mother-in-law, Gayle Potter, daughter, Phyllis Robinson; sons, Brian Cook (Debby), Virgil L. Cook Sr. (Donna) and Kenny Cook; Grandchildren, Douglas Scott (Kristen), Adam Cook (Heather), Joey Cook (Sarah), Jennifer Mayo (Seth), Brandi Russell, Shannon Loncar and Virgil Lee Cook, Jr; Great-grandchildren, Walter Russell, Rhiannon Russell, Cameron Chase, Harmony Loncar, Kenneth Loncar, Madelyn Loncar, Penelope Mayo, Miles Eber and Brian Cook; his siblings, Gwendolyn Foldren (Bill), Joe Ann Reeves, Barbara Bodenstein (Rondal), Charles Cook (Brenda) and Sister-in-law, Verna Rae Caudle (Russell); many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter S. Cook, Sr. and his mother Hazel Ursula Cook. Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home in Baldwin, Mississippi on Friday evening, June 24, 2016 from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. Graveside services will be the following Monday at 10:00 A.M. at the Olympus Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma. Waters Funeral Home is in charge of the Baldwyn arrangements and Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK is in charge of the graveside arrangements.
