Benjamin Funeral Service - Walter Harold Parret Jr. passed from this life December 9, 2014 in Branson, Missouri. He was born in Childers, Oklahoma on July 28, 1934, to Walter Harold Parret Sr. and Delia G. (Sisco) Parret. He attended schools at Armstrong and Nowata, Oklahoma. He continued his education attending 5 different institutions where he received degrees in education; culminating in the receipt of a Masters of Education and Administration degree from Northeastern State University, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He taught school at Arapahoe, Wyoming, Oglesby, Oklahoma, Delaware, Oklahoma, and Kotzebue, Alaska. He joined the Army at the age of 16, and served during the Korean War Conflict. Walter loved nothing better than to be a rancher, dealing with various farm animals and teaching children to ride horses. He loved being surrounded by his children and family, and he once helped to build a church in Juneau, Alaska. Walter loved singing in church, and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him. Mr. Parret is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patricia Parret of the home; one son, Charles Lee Parret Sr. of Grove, Oklahoma; three daughters, Denise Divine of Kansas, Oklahoma, Violet K. Parret of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Venus Castleberg of Telluride, Co; one sister Mable Lee Collier of Drumwright, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Delia Parret, one son Harold Dean Parret; two sisters, Dora Mae Heape of Bartlesville, Ok, Louella Miller of Nowata, Oklahoma; and one brother, Eddie Parret of Colombia, S.C.
