Wanda Jean Bussey, 80 of Bartlesville, Ok passed away on Monday July 6, 2009 in her home. Ms. Bussey was born on October 4, 1928 in Branson, Colorado to Henry Bloxsom and Esthrid Dalholtz. In December of 1946 she married Arthur Lee Rall whom they had four children. Wanda had dedicated her life in caring for others and was an advocate in the rights and care of the elderly. In 1961 she fulfilled her dream by designing and building the Hearthstone Nursing Home in St. John, Ks. She had attended LPN training and was certified in Business and Professional Conduct of Nursing at the Barton County Community College in Great Bend, Kansas. She had served as an advisor for numerous nursing homes throughout Kansas and Arizona. Due to her own health problems, she later continued her occupation in home health care until she retired. Mrs., Bussey enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Canada, oil painting, fishing, sewing and reading books. Casket Bearers include her son-in-law Melvin Shultz, nephew Roy Bartholomae, Jr., Grandsons Robert Prine and Shane Huff; Great Grandsons CJ Irwin and Brandon Gallea. Ms. Bussey is survived by daughter Norma Shultz and Katherine Huff of Bartlesville, Karen Dueck of Copan and son William Rall of Hutchinson, Kansas; sister Berniece Hackler of El Dorado, Kansas; brother John Keirstead of Independence, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her mother and father, sister Helen Bartholomae, Charolette Keith, Evonne Keirstead and four husbands, Arthur Rall, Lowell Dawe, Samuel Randle and Glenn Bussey. Funeral services for Ms. Bussey will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2009 at the Colonial Chapel of the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Pastor Chuck McCarthy of the Bible Church of Bartlesville, Ok. will preside over the services, with interment to follow in the Ethel Reece Cemetery.
