Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK 918-253-3222..Wanda Jean Raney, Jay, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on June 15, 2015, at the age of 90. Wanda was born on May 16, 1925, in Picher, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Ruben Pierce and Ila (Paul) Walkins. Wanda was united in marriage to Earl E. Raney on August 24, 1944, and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and being outdoors and she particularly loved taking care of children. She loved life and will be greatly missed by all. Wanda is survived by five children; David Edward Reading and his wife, Anita, Fairland, Oklahoma; Earl Leon Raney, Jay, Oklahoma; Glenda Jeanette Jobe, Grain Valley, Missouri; Melody Sue Williams and her husband, John, Grove, Oklahoma, and Kenneth Wayne Raney and his wife, Sharon, Jay, Oklahoma. Wanda is also survived by two grandchildren whom she raised from infancy; Wanda Irene (Sissie) Hendrick, and her husband Ray, of Harper, Kansas, and Kandy Michelle Raney, Jay, Oklahoma. Also surviving is one daughter in law, India Raney, Arizona and two stepchildren, Leah Reading Scott and Reece Reading, both of Bixby, Oklahoma. Wanda was further blessed with 20 more grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Larry E. Raney and one stepson, Raymond Reading. She was also preceded in death by one grandchild, Ricky Raney.
