Wanda Pauline Sires 85, of Bartlesville passed away at the Jane Phillips Medical Center on Thursday, September 03, 2009. Pauline was born on June 24, 1924 in Fort Scott, Kansas to Pete and Pearl Maberry. She married Walter Sires on September 21, 1946 in Independence, Kansas. Pauline was a very active member of the First Baptist Church in Dewey. She was devoted to her family and the Lord and never passed on an opportunity to share time with them. Pauline and Walter loved to travel together and she enjoyed planting and caring for her flowers. Pauline is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Walter Sires of the home, 1 son Jim and his wife Phillis Sires of Tulsa, 1 daughter Patty and her husband Don Henderson of Fairview, Texas, 1 grandson Kurth Sires of Tulsa, 1 granddaughter Alicia and her husband Brandon Sprowl of Fort Worth, Texas, 1 great grandson Trenton Sprowl and 3 sister in laws Rosetta Estes of Bartlesville, Judy Sires of Bartlesville, and Virginia Maberry of Bartlesville, numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Pete and Pearl Maberry and her brother Leonard Maberry. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2009 in the First Baptist Church in Dewey with Pastor Mark Wright officiating. Final committal rites will be accorded Mrs. Sires in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville. Funeral arrangements and services are entrusted with Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Service.
