Waunita Fair

Waunita Fair, 87 was welcomed home by her Savior on Monday, March 8, 2010 in Oklahoma City. Waunita was born on November 14, 1922 in Alluwe, OK. She had resided in Mustang for the last 9 years. Prior to moving to Mustang she lived in Nowata with her husband Gene Fair where they were co-owners of Sooner Ford. He preceded her in death in June 1995. She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Rebecca Stookey, sisters Coletta Pannell and JoAnn Fluke, and brother Ralph McKay. Her survivors include her children and spouses, Pat Stanley Vernon and Ron of Mustang, Steve Stanley and Toni of Vinita, Kathy Stanley McCaig and Mike of Ft. Smith, AR, and Tom Stanley and Carla of Norman. She also leaves 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and her special pet Sassy. The celebration of her life will be held Friday, March 12, 2010 at 11am at the Benjamin Funeral Chapel, Nowata. Reverend Ross Atkins, Waunita's favorite minister now retired will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Nowata. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to your local animal shelter or the Humane Society in her name.
