Wayne Martin

Wayne Ross Martin, age 81, died on March 8, 2012 in Grove, Oklahoma. Wayne was the son of Luther C. and Vera (Curnette) Martin; he was born on July 20, 1930 in Mountain View, Missouri. Wayne proudly served in the United States Marines during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Meyer in 1954. Wayne was a bus driver with Trailways. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruth Ann, two brothers Alvin Martin and Eldon Martin one sister Reva Houck and one daughter Teresa Ann Wheeler. Wayne is survived by his children Gary Wayne Martin and his wife Pamela and Tammy Kay Cookery, five grandchildren; Alicia Dawn Martin, Steven Wayne Martin, Carl Wayne Cookerly, Brian Douglas Wheeler, and Erin Wheeler. Wayne was also blessed with five great-grandchildren. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., on Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma.
