Wayne Lee "Hoky" Midgett 47 year-old well known Langley resident died Tuesday, August 14, 2007. Hoky was born July 7, 1960 in Afton to Floyd Wayne and Minnie Marie (Scott) Midgett. He was a graduate of Ketchum High School. Hoky married Dee Anne Harper on May 8, 1987. He had worked for Mayes County District #3 for over 20 years as a Road Foreman. Hoky was a volunteer fireman for the Langley fire department and served as the assistant chief. He loved to fish, hunt and go golfing. The family includes; his wife Dee Anne of the home, daughters, Candace Nichole Midgett of Perkins, Leigha Marie Midgett of the home, his mother, Marie Swedeen and husband Swede of Carrizozo, New Mexico, sisters, Marilyn Wilson and husband Darrell of the Coves at Bird Island, Judy Farley of Cleora, a brother Beany Midgett and wife Teri of Langley, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceding him in death was his father, Floyd Wayne Midgett in 1982 and an Uncle A. B. "Shorty" Midgett in 2001. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 16, until 8:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Chapel in Langley. The memorial service will be held Friday evening, August 17, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cherokee Park Recreation Area below Pensacola Dam at Langley, Pastor Jim Bradford will officiate.
