Willa Jean Cauthon, age 83 of Vinita, died Sunday, October23, 2011. Willa Jean was born in Vinita on June 9, 1928. She graduated from Vinita in 1946. On July 23, 1948 she was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Cauthon and together they raised three sons. Willa worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell for numerous years as well as Cinch for numerous years and volunteered as a Cherry Red for 21 years. She enjoyed going on bus tours, gardening, and spending time with family. She was a member of the Vinita First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her sons Larry Cauthon and wife Mary of Vinita, and Terry Cauthon and wife Joanie of Nixa, MO as well as daughter-in-law Teresa Cauthon of Bartlesville, brothers: Raymond Redman and wife Gladys of Vinita, Lester Redman and wife Shirley of Collinsville, and Everett Redman and wife Ida Jo of Independence, MO, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and step parents, husband Robert Cauthon, and son Gary Cauthon. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Big Cabin Cemetery with Pastor George Gilland officiating. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
