William Daugherty

William "Bill" Daugherty, 80 year old Eucha resident, passed away at his home Saturday, October 5,2013 surrounded by his family. Bill was born in Fairmont, West Virginia on March 24, 1933 to Pearl and Nellie (Tatterson) Daugherty. He served in the United States Navy for four years and in the National Guard for one. On December 22, 1956 he was united in marriage to Lucy Coleman and together they raised four children. Bill was very caring and social. He loved spending time with his family, telling stories, and helping others out. Throughout his life he enjoyed raccoon hunting, square dancing, and especially fishing. Survivors include his loving wife Lucy Daugherty, children: Linda and Rocky Clary of Kirbyville, MO, Bill and Gail Daughtery of Pryor, and Matt Daugherty of Eucha, 17 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, 7 sister-in-laws, and 2 brother-in-laws. He is preceded in death by one son Fred Daugherty, 4 sisters, and 1 brother. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Chapel with Pastor Riley Coleman officiating.
