William Lyle DeWitt, age 53 of Ketchum, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010. Billy was born on February 18, 1957 in Claremore, OK to Lyle and Elnora (Pennington) DeWitt. He worked as a bus driver for Northeastern Technology Center for 17 years. He also raised cattle, farmed and at one point worked as a brick layer. Billy enjoyed hunting deer, collecting guns, shooting pool, fishing, playing cards with his bus driver friends, and hanging out with Kenith McSpadden and Bob Lewis. Survivors include his sister Bettye Hendricks of Ketchum, nieces Samantha Hendricks of Ketchum, Lucinda Griffith and husband Kent of Joplin, great nieces and nephews Kevin and Mandy Griffith of Joplin, and extended family Kenith McSpadden and family, and Bob and Nancy Lewis. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Charles Hendricks. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Ketchum with Pastor Bill Busch officiating. Interment will follow at Ketchum Cemetery.
