William Hanna Jr.

William "Bill" Robert Hanna Jr., 89, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2007 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa. Bill was born in Dewey, Oklahoma to William R. Hanna Sr. and Lula Winifred Bowman. He was raised and educated in the Dewey area. Bill entered active military service, with the United States Army during World War II serving in the European Theater. William "Bill" Robert Hanna Jr. and Katherine Fay Lee were united in marriage on July 27, 1946 in Caney, Kansas. Bill and Katy made their home and raised their family in Dewey and Bartlesville. Bill retired from Reda Pump Company in 1981, after 30 years of service as a machinist. After retirement Bill and Katy made their home in Salina, Oklahoma. Bill is survived by his wife Katherine Hanna of the home, three daughters Vicki and her husband Charles Burr of Springdale, Arkansas, Sue and her husband C.L. Perrin of Bartlesville and Betty and her husband Roger Walker of Bartlesville, three sisters Helen Mitchell of Dewey, Pearl Latchshaw of Joplin, Missouri and Nona O'Neal of Plains, Texas, seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. Bill is preceded in death by his parents William R. Hanna Sr. and Lula Winifred (Bowman) Hanna, one grandson Stuart Walker and one brother Arthur Hanna. Funeral services will be held Friday February 16, 2007 at 1:00 pm in the Colonial Chapel of the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home with The Reverend Dr. Joe Dan Fowler of the First Baptist Church Officiating.
