William Hites

William Junior "Bill" Hites 81 year-old Afton resident, died Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at the Craig General Hospital in Vinita. He was born May 2, 1926 in DeQueen, Arkansas to Elmer and Ruth (Freeman) Hites. Bill married Doris Walton on May 2, 1944, to this union two children were born, Carol and Billy Joe. Bill married Martha Arline Swart in 1948 in Minneapolis, Kansas, they owned and operated B & A Campers in Vinita for 21 years, Martha died on February 19, 1994. Bill later married Patricia (Jones) Hites; she also preceded him in death on August 12, 2006. Bill enjoyed visiting with his friends in the Vinita area. The family includes: his daughter, Carol Quimby and husband Gene of Garber, Oklahoma, a sister, Pat McKinley, two grandchildren, Aline Terry of Austin, Bill Quimby and wife Jennifer of Mustang, great-grandchildren Brett and Wyatt Quimby, a niece Marcia Abbott and family of Granby, Missouri, numerous cousins and other relatives. Preceding him in death were his parents, wives, Martha Arline, and Patricia, and a son, Billy Joe Hites in 1964. The memorial service will be held Saturday October 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Luginbuel Chapel, with Rev. George Vaughn officiating. Online condolences may be mad at www. honoringmemories.com.
