ARNOLD MOORE & NEEKAMP FUNERAL HOME, BARTLESVILLE, OK - William "Bill" Morrison, age 95 and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016, in Brookdale South, Bartlesville. Bill was born on May 28, 1920 in Bartlesville. He was the son of Lee Morrison and Irma (Model) Morrison. He was raised in the Bartlesville area where he received his education, graduating from Bartlesville High School. He furthered his education by attending Texas A&M University, where he graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry. After college, he entered the U.S. Army and served his Country during WWII. Bill and Susy Sophie Meyer were united in marriage on February 5, 1961 in Bremgarten, Switzerland. Susy preceded Bill in death after 56 years of marriage. Bill was employed as an oil producer for Lee Supply Company. He also was self-employed as the owner of Morrison Oil Company. Bill was a member of Temple Israel, Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was an avid bridge player. Prior to Susy's death, she and Bill played duplicate bridge, traveling to other countries to compete. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Susy on December 29, 2007; his parents; two brothers, Jack and Albert Morrison; and two sisters, Nannette Silverman and Miriam Witt. Survivors include his son, Carl Matthew Morrison of Bartlesville; his daughter, LeeAnn Morrison-Ware and her husband, Steve, of Glendale, Arizona; step-grandson, Jason Ware of Glendale; and several other family members.
