William (Bill) Albert Myles Jr., age 85 of Ketchum, died Friday, April 9, 2010. William was born in Pindall, Arkansas on February 24, 1925 the son of William and Gertrude (Huddleston) Myles. He graduated high school from Moberly, MO. At age 17, he enlisted in the United States Navy, serving during WWII in the Armed Guard. He worked at McDonald Douglas for 28 years. One of his assignments for Douglas was as a radar specialist for the Nike Zeus Missile Tracking Project. After retirement, he moved to the Ketchum area in the early 1990s. Bill enjoyed music and would routinely get together with friends to play his guitar. He was a member of the Owasso Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his two daughters: Carolyn Christy of Hominy, and Kathy Davis and husband Ronnie of Vinita, four grandchildren: Danny Cook and wife Michelle of Collinsville, Carrie Holloway and husband Kojack of Hominy, Kristi Forbes and husband Brett of Killeen, TX, and Troy Davis and wife Mychi of Moore, OK, eleven great grandchildren: Veronica Loftin, Lacie Cook, Dylan Cook, Rielly Holloway, Austin Holloway, Fayth Holloway, Tanner Forbes, Kenzi Forbes, Everett Davis, Langli Davis, and Fenli Davis, one great-great grandchild: Lane Loftin, one sister Wilta Cauthen of Sacramento, CA, and a plethora of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Hertha Beattie and Mabel Purdom, and five brothers: Howard Myles, Harry Myles, Harley Myles, Harold Myles, and Alfred Myles. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 13, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Luginbuel Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bill Busch officiating. Interment will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Maplewood Cemetery in Harrison, Arkansas. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
