William Watkins

William Aaron Watkins, 53 year old Grove, Oklahoma resident passed away Saturday December 10, 2011 in Joplin, Missouri, following a sudden illness. Aaron was born on December 19, 1957 in Hanford, California to Lester Watkins and Sue Sullivan. Aaron moved to the Grove area seven years ago and was a bus driver for Grove Public School. He was a tinkerer who enjoyed carpentry and was always working, however his great love was his family, especially his grandchildren. Aaron is preceded in death by his grandparents, Fletcher and Clara Curry. Aaron is survived by his wife Shirley, of the home; mother Sue Sullivan of Atascadero, California; father Lester Watkins of Bakersfield, California; son Aaron Austin Watkins of Grove, Oklahoma; daughter Leslie Watkins of Fresno, California; and Courtney Kellogg of Wyandotte, Oklahoma who he considered a daughter; step sons Derek McHenry of Lawrence, Kansas; and Joseph Kilpatrick of Grove, Oklahoma; brothers, Michael Watkins of Kansas, Oklahoma; Larry Watkins of Atascadero, California; and Eugene Watkins of Fresno, California; and four grandchildren with one on the way. Aaron is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Aaron will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Cave Springs Church in Grove, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Fields Cemetery. Viewing for Aaron will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday December 14, 2011, at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma.
