William "Willie" Marvin Wilson, Jay resident, died Friday evening April 30, 2010 at the age of 88. He was born on April 5, 1922 in Eucha, Oklahoma to his parents, Harvey and Ollie (Tanner) Wilson. Willie attended Eucha schools before going off to serve his country in the US Navy during WWII. After serving his country, Willie learned the welding trade and worked for many different petroleum companies as a welder. Willie enjoyed fishing, cooking and was also a member of the Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Roy; sisters, Mae, Elda, Annalee, Bertrude, Mary, and Dorothy. Willie leaves many loving memories with his family, special friend, Billie Johnson; and his brother, Bobby Wilson and wife Dovie, as well as many other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday May 4, 2010 at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home of Jay. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday May 5, 2010 at the Round Springs Church in Eucha with Reverend Johnny Summerfield officiating. Dwain Baker will sing the music selections, "Amazing Grace" and "Where the Soul Never Dies". Casket bearers will be James Dunham, Jackie Dunham, Cody Fisher, Mark Dunham, Greg Wilson, and Steve Wilson. Honorary bearers will be Jimmy Dunham and Woody Wilson. Interment will follow at the Round Springs Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Grove Veterans Ritual Team. Services are entrusted to Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home of Jay.
