William Wolfe

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma (918) 253-3222 -- William Wolfe, also known as "Chief" was born on April 23, 1933 in Watts, OK and passed away on May 9, 2015 in Joplin, MO due to an illness. He was preceded in death by his wife "Ollie" Marganrine Swake and three brothers Walter, Jimmy and Turner Wolfe and his parents Tom and Lucian "Fanny" Wolfe. William had one son Chandler "Hilderbrand" Wolfe of Jay, OK and two stepsons, Frankie of Choteau, OK, and Randle Wolfe deceased and half sister, Minnie Price of Pryor, OK. He left behind 8 grandchildren, with one deceased, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. William was retired from heavy machinery operator and loved volunteering at Cherokee Nation Food Distribution Center and was an active member of Piney Baptist Church in Jay, OK and most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. Funeral services for William will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Piney Baptist church East of Jay, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Sycamore Springs Cemetery.
