William David Yockey Jr. Graveside funeral services for William David Yockey Jr. will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at Mt. Washington Cemetery, with Rev. Rick Thayer officiating. Services are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Home, of Nowata. William David Yockey Jr. 85 year old Coffeyville resident passed from this life Saturday July 14, 2007 at his home. He was born June 6, 1922, in Nowata County, Oklahoma, to William David Sr. and Pearl A. (Wells) Yockey. He attended school in Nowata County and in October, 1943 he married Francis Nadine Penderfraft, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Yockey served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, and was a member of the American Legion. Preceding Mr. Yockey in death are his parents, his wife Nadine, and two brothers Delbert, and Herald Yockey. Surviving are a niece Shirley Yost, and her husband Danny, nephew, Doyle Yockey, 4 sisters in laws, Elva Mae Yockey, Pauline Hull, Carol Brown, and Bobbie Jordan, many other nieces, nephews, and other relatives. The family suggests donations to the 10-33 ambulance service, 321 E. Cherokee, Nowata, Ok. 74048.
