Zelma Jardot, 80, resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 16, 1931 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Marion Clinton and Dollie Mae (Griffin) Dryden. She was raised in Stillwater and graduated from Stillwater High School in 1949. On August 18, 1950 she married Willis Ray Jardot in Stillwater. They moved to Bartlesville in 1955 where they made their home. Zelma was a lifetime member of the Percheron Horse Association of America. In 1961 she and Willis opened the Sunny Acres Boarding Kennels, it quickly became a successful family business. She not only loved taking care of her animals, but she loved taking care of other people's pets as well. When not busy working, Zelma enjoyed gardening, shopping and watching the soap opera, "Days of our Lives". Zelma is survived by her two children, Stephen Ray Jardot and Vickie Ann Stephens, both of Bartlesville; six grandchildren, Travis Jardot and his wife, Rachel of Centerton, Arkansas, Mark Hiser and his wife, Hollie of Sarasota, Florida, Kenny Cochran and his wife, Kim of Sapulpa, Darcie Jardot, Casey Jardot, and John Berertz and his wife, Amber, all of Bartlesville; six great grandchildren, Tori Hiser, Tristan Hiser and Madyson Hiser, all of Sarasota, Florida, Abigail Jardot and Madelyn Jardot, both of Centerton, Arkansas and Kinsley Jardot of Bartlesville; three sisters, Clara Rae Whisenart of Tyler, Texas, Mary Ruth Harrison of Moore and Rose Jones of Stillwater; one brother, Johnny Dryden of Stillwater and several nieces, nephews and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Jardot; parents and two sisters, JoAnn Rule and Lorene Olds. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater. Services are under the direction of Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Bartlesville.
